Fire proof asphalt (commonly known as asphalt) is solid at room temperature, with a flash point of 200 ~ 230 degrees and a spontaneous combustion point of 270 ~ 300 degrees. It has good adhesion, water resistance and corrosion resistance, so it is mostly used in construction and road construction projects. Because asphalt is low melting, the experimental machine driven by servo electric shock is solid at room temperature. It is heated to the melting point and melted into liquid, which has similar characteristics with the combustion of liquid substances

it is used to determine the fire causes of anisotropic refined asphalt marked by ear making rate. The common ones are:

1. Poor equipment. For example, cracks in the stove or flue ignite, and the bottom of containers and pots are exposed, which makes the molten matter contact with the fire source and cause the fire

2. Improper location. The stove is set in an improper place. Especially the simple stoves erected temporarily, sparks and flames ignite the surrounding combustible substances or flammable buildings

3. Lax management and improper operation. For example, in the furnace for refining asphalt, asphalt or other flammable oil is wrongly put into the furnace, causing the fire to rush in order to overcome the disadvantages of the construction link, causing the asphalt in the pot or the combustibles around to catch fire

4. Sometimes, due to the needs of the project, the asphalt is diluted with flammable liquid. Due to the high temperature of molten asphalt, a large amount of flammable liquid will evaporate and volatilize when it is put into the flammable liquid, which will cause combustion and explosion when it meets the fire source

5. Too much material is fed during the refining, and the temperature is too high during the melting, resulting in the overflow of molten asphalt, and even boiling and splashing due to water, which will cause a fire when contacting the furnace fire

6. the operator leaves his post without permission, and the thermostat fails, resulting in overheating, which makes the digester reach the spontaneous combustion point and catch fire

basic fire prevention measures for asphalt refining:

1. Fire prevention measures for plant

although the fire risk of the plant for refining production belongs to class C, it is best to use buildings with grade I and II fire resistance rating, and the refining stoves should be set in a separate room, or separated from other production processes by fire walls. Other combustibles are not allowed to be stacked in the refining plant, and the refining site should be cleaned frequently to prevent the spread of fire disasters. The workshop should be well ventilated, and mechanical ventilation measures can also be taken to prevent the accumulation of combustible steam and oil gas in the workshop. The chimney of the cooker passing through the building may have very serious consequences such as blocking the valve hole and scratching the piston surface. When the roof is burned, the surrounding area must be separated with non combustible materials to prevent burning combustibles

2. Fire prevention measures for cooking stoves

when building cooking stoves and flues for refining, building materials should be used according to the temperature required for the refining substances, and the foundation should be laid and carefully constructed to prevent cracks. An anti overflow tank should be set on the stove to prevent the molten material from overflowing and contacting the stove fire, and a small dike should be set around the stove to prevent the liquid from flowing everywhere and expanding the fire. A solid brick wall with a certain height should be set between the fire source at the stove mouth and the refining pot to isolate the flame and prevent fire. A thermometer should be installed on the refining pot so that the operator can accurately control the temperature, or the method of "dead pot and live stove" should be adopted in the design of the cooker, so that the fire source can be removed at any time to control and adjust the temperature. Pressure gauge and safety valve shall be installed for equipment with high-pressure steam to control pressure change and prevent explosion accident. The quality of the boiling pot should be checked regularly. If the bottom of the pot is found to be broken or leaking, it should be repaired or replaced in time to prevent the leakage of the refining material from catching fire
